The founder of Nothing, Carl Pei hinted at Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.0 for the Nothing Phone (1) a few days ago. However, he did not reveal any time period for this new update. Moreover, Nothing has introduced a new software update (Nothing OS 1.1.7) for its first smartphone. It brings some improvements, bug fixes, and better AirPods support.

Nothing OS 1.1.7 Update
The new update weighs about 80MB. It even shows the battery percentage of the Apple AirPods. This comes as an experimental feature. The users have to go to the smartphone’s Settings > Experimental features menu to enable this feature.

The Nothing new update even improves the OS fluidity and audio quality while recording videos. Also, it adds up the Android security patch level on the Nothing Phone (1). For October and November 2022.
It provides a more accurate battery status. Well even reduced stutters. Also, this update has adjusted the thermal threshold for better balance performance and temperature.
The changelog even refers to general bug fixes. Also provides a fix for an issue which let WhatsApp notifications be unresponsive on the smartphone’s lock screen.

In case the users haven’t received the new update till now. They can check for it manually. It can be done by navigating in the Nothing Phone (1). First, go to Settings > System > System updates menu. This will help you find the update manually.
