HMD Global Nokia confirms the launch event on October 6, 2021, via Twitter. It is likely going to announce the rumoured Nokia G50 5G and T20 tablet during this event. Moreover, the company just started teasing addition to its already extensive “family” of smart devices. The image also shows a large box at the end of a slew of existing smartphones. This large box may very likely contain a tablet. It can be the first Nokia tablet after 2014’s N1. This can have the moniker as a T20 tablet. It is expected to carry a very affordable price point.

Nokia G50, Nokia T20 Tablet Expected Specifications
According to previous leaks, the smartphone will feature a large 6.8-inch IPS LCD display. However, the display will be an HD+ one so we won’t be seeing an FHD+ display on this particular model. This hints at the device launching as a budget-friendly device. When it comes to software, the smartphone will run on Android 11 OS right out of the box.

On the other hand, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC. Now, this is the most budget 5G chipset out there and will be used to bring 5G connectivity to the Nokia G50 5G. This again hints at the device falling under the budget smartphone segment. Moving to cameras, the device will come with a 48-megapixel driven rear camera setup. Whereas, at the front, the handset will sport an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
Further, the upcoming budget Nokia G50 5G phone will pack a 4,850mAh battery. When it comes to dimensions, the device measures 8.85mm in thickness and weighs 220 grams. Lastly, the smartphone will also come with a modern side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
On the other hand, the Nokia T20 Android tablet may see the light of the day. The T20 tablet will carry a 10.36-inch display. However, not much is known about the rest of the hardware. The expected price is EUR 185 (approx Rs 16,300) for Wi-Fi only models and EUR 202 (approx Rs 17,800) for Wi-Fi + LTE models, we can make an educated guess.

If Nokia chooses to go with Qualcomm, the T20 tablet might be running a Snapdragon 4xx SoC. However, healthy rumours also suggest that Nokia might plonk in a chipset from Unisoc, the exact model is still unknown. It will likely pair with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Nokia T20 will be Nokia’s first tablet after the N1 Slate that launched in 2015.
