When Nokia’s G50 5G surfaced online last month, it was only via listings and nothing that concrete. Now, the Nokia G50 5G has officially been confirmed by the company. However, it was done so accidentally via Nokia France’s official Instagram account. The company accidentally posted the poster for the smartphone, which revealed its design. Besides, the HMD Global licensee also revealed the Nokia G50 specifications via the caption of the post.
The Nokia G series of smartphones already has two devices under it. One is the Nokia G20 which is already available in India while the other, the Nokia G10, is available in other markets. Now, the G50 is officially in the works and shall soon be added to the G series of smartphones. The company has teased the device as the most affordable 5G smartphone by them.
Nokia G50 Specifications
Coming to the Nokia G50 specs, the company has revealed a couple of details accidentally. For starters, the smartphone will come with 5G connectivity. Besides, multiple reports have suggested that the smartphone will be the cheapest 5G supported device by the brand.

On the processor front, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. However, the exact processor is currently not known. But, going by the price and everything, one can assume this to most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. This octa-core chipset is based on 8nm architecture along with a clock speed of up to 2GHz. Moreover, it is the cheapest 5G supported chipset that there is currently. The chipset will pair up with 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB or 128GB internal storage options, depending on the region.

The teaser poster’s caption also reveals that the Nokia G50 specs will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor. Moreover, the design is revealed as well and it showcases a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. In addition, the camera setup will be housed within a circular module. At the front, the handset can be seen sporting a teardrop notch design.
Nokia G50 Price in India (Expected)
The G50 is expected to come with a price tag of GBP 207 for the 4GB/64GB variant in the UK. Going by that, the Nokia G50 price in India may be set at around Rs. 11,000. Meanwhile, the 4GB/128GB variant of the device will reportedly be available in Australia for AUD 477. Now, this variant, if made available in India, will come with a price tag of roughly Rs. 25,400.

The smartphone will be available in the Blue and Midnight Sun colour options, going by the accidental Instagram post. However, another colour options, namely, Forest Black is also reportedly in the works. For now, this is all that we know about the device. We hope to hear more about it in the coming days.
