Way back in 2019, Nokia was reportedly working on Android powered feature phones. The Nokia 400 was the first feature phone that surfaced online to come with Android. Moreover, a hands-on video of the phone and a Wi-Fi certification listing of the phone had also surfaced online. The feature phone was listed with the model number TA-1208.
Now, a brand new exclusive HCTSW video has been posted on the YouTube channel run by Calyx Hikari. This particular video reveals the Android-powered Nokia 400 feature phone’s UI and hardware in-depth. However, the video does not reveal the feature phone to be the Nokia 400 feature phone. It was by the model number mentioned in the video that we could analyze the name of the feature phone. Going by the model number, we can definitely be sure that we are looking at the long due project of HMD Global.

Nokia 400 Android Feature Phone: What More?
The primary objective behind the in-hand video of the Nokia 400 feature phone was to showcase GAFP. GAFP basically stands for Google Android for Feature Phones which is merely a concept now. The project has not yet turned to reality and might even get cancelled before becoming commercial.
The video showcases the Nokia 400 in a regular feature phone design. Moreover, the phone can be seen featuring a small display, a T9 keypad and a thick plastic body, which are trademarks for the classic Nokia phones.

When it comes to the optics, the feature phone can be seen featuring a selfie camera. The video also reveals a back camera on the device. Additionally, a dedicated Google Assistant button can also be seen on the feature phone’s keypad for easy access. On the software front, the phone is running Android 8.1.0 Oreo alongside the August 2019 security patches, going by the video.
Besides, Calyx Hikari took to Twitter to reveal two tutorial-type videos. These videos showcase the use of the Google Assistant on the feature phone. Moreover, this tweet reveals that the feature phone was supposed to be India-centric. This can be said as one of the videos is in Hindi while the other, refers to Bollywood.
