PlayerUnknown’s Battleground is one of the most popular battle royale games out there, alongside Fortnite, Apex Legends and others. The game developers have been brainstorming a lot recently to come up with ways to improve the game. Recently, a new game called Project: Reborn had surfaced online. Now, this new game was considered to be the sequel to PUBG. However, the game was called off and the developers announced that the new game’s features would rather be implemented on PUBG to further improve the already existing game.
This definitely disappointed a lot of people in the community. No matter how good a game is, a fresh breeze of change is always appreciated. Maybe this is the reason why highly successful game franchises like Minecraft are working on new projects as well. Now, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds seems to be following the same path. Noted tipster, PlayerIGN, who is popular for the information he shares on PUBG specifically. According to PlayerIGN, a new AAA PUBG game is on its way.

New PUBG Game: What Else?
Further, PlayerIGN also reveals that the game will be based on the Unreal Engine 5 tech. Several games have used this engine to build a strong foundation. From Fortnite and Black Myth: Wukong to Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II and Gears of War, a lot of games use this engine. Clearly, we are looking at a AAA title with mind boggling graphical rendering.

PlayerIGN goes on to reveal a vital information in his tweet. He says that PUBG Amsterdam has now started their hiring process for the game. Besides, a couple of months ago, his internal sources had also revealed a PUBG 2 project to use the Unreal Engine 5. All these various pieces of puzzle come together to only hint at one particular thing – a new PUBG game does seem to be on its way.
