New POCO Smartphone Launched Globally: India Launch Excepted Soon

As promised, the POCO F4 GT was released worldwide alongside the POCO Watch and POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition TWS earphones. Moreover, the phone was unveiled at an online event that was broadcast live on POCO’s YouTube channel. The smartphone is priced at EUR 599. The newest POCO smartphone features a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and enables 120W HyperCharge rapid charging.

The F4 GT appears to be a rebranded version of the China-only Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. It’s also a follow-up to the POCO F3 GT, which debuted in India. This means that the debut of this smartphone in India is close at hand.

Price and Availability of POCO F4 GT

Stealth Black, Knight Silver, and Cyber Yellow are the three colour options for the F4 GT. In addition, the smartphone costs EUR 599 for the 8GB/128GB model and EUR 699 for the 12GB/256GB model. The 8GB/128GB model is available for EUR 499 while the 12GB/256GB variant is available for EUR 599 in early-bird discounts. Starting April 28, the F4 GT will be available for purchase. The POCO F4 GT’s debut date in India is currently unknown.

Specifications

In terms of appearance, the POCO phone resembles the Redmi phone, featuring magnetic pop-up shoulder triggers for gaming. Other tasks that the triggers may utilize include a camera and flashlight. Moreover, the smartphone has a triple camera configuration with a hole-punch camera in the centre and a rectangular back camera module.

The POCO F4 GT has a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU lies at the core of the smartphone, which combines 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. 4,700mAh battery powers the phone with 120W HyperCharge technology.

More Details

A triple camera configuration on the rear of the POCO F4 GT has a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera. Selfie demands are met with a front-facing 20-megapixel camera. Furthermore, the POCO F4 GT comes with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It boasts a quad-speaker arrangement and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

LiquidCool Technology 3.0 is included with the POCO F4 GT. It isolates the smartphone’s two main heat sources: the SoC and the charging ICs. Moreover, to cool the phone, two vapour chambers are installed on top of these heat sources. Third, we’ve replaced the silicon grease with a copper block that works as a heat-conducting medium. The antennae are likewise covered in aerospace white graphene.
