Motorola Razr 50 & Razr 50 Ultra To Launch Globally On This Date

Motorola has finally announced the global launch date of its next foldable smartphones, the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. The company initially confirmed that the phones would launch in China but has now revealed the global launch date. They will arrive as the Motorola Razr 40 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra successors from last year. Motorola Razr 50 & 50 Ultra To Launch On This Date

Motorola has confirmed in a post on X (Formerly Twitter) that its upcoming Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra will launch globally on June 25, 2024, the exact date it will arrive in China. However, there is no clarity on whether the Razr 50 series will debut in India.

Although the teaser video does not mention the device, it does have the tagline “Flip the script.” The Razr 50 is shown in orange and blue and will likely be available in seven different colours.

Razr 50 Specifications

The Motorola Razr 50 will sport a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it will get a 3.6-inch cover screen, an upgrade from the 1.5-inch screen on its predecessor, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7300x will power the phone paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It will ship with Hello UI based on Android 14 and offer up to 256GB of storage.

The phone’s optics include a 50-megapixel primary lens and a 13-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Motorola Razr 50 will pack a 3,950mAh battery with 33W charging, downgrading from the 4,200mAh on the Razr 40. It is likely to cost around $700 (around Rs.58,000)

Razr 50 Ultra Specifications

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will boast a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate apart from a 4-inch massive cover display. Both screens will have LTPO support.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will power the phone paired with up to 18GB of RAM. It will ship with Motorola Hello UI based on Android 14 with up to 1TB of storage.

For optics, expect a 50-megapixel primary and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. In addition, there will be a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.
