Motorola has announced the upcoming launch of its Razr 40 series of foldable smartphones in India. After generating anticipation through teasers, the company has now revealed that the Razr 40 Ultra foldable will be available for purchase on Amazon.
The product page on Amazon mentions a “full product specifications reveal” on June 22, when the launch date in India will be confirmed. In addition, both the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and the more affordable Motorola Razr 40 foldable have been listed on Motorola’s official website for India.

Motorola Razr 40 Launch
According to the official website, the company plans to launch both models from the Razr 40 series in India. These models include the premium Motorola Razr 40 Ultra (also referred to as Razr Plus). And of course, the budget-friendly Motorola Razr 40 (also known as Razr).
However, it remains unclear whether both devices will be launched simultaneously. Currently, Motorola has been primarily advertising and promoting the high-end Razr 40 Ultra foldable in India. It is happening with limited visibility of the Razr 40, except for its listing on the website.

Let’s Take A Look At The Specifications
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 were recently launched in China with identical specifications. In China, the Razr 40 Ultra is known as the Razr Plus. While the Razr 40 is referred to as the 2023 Razr in the US. The Razr 40 Ultra features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ pOLED main display. It comes with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3.6-inch pOLED cover screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The Motorola Razr 40, available at a lower price point, also features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ foldable pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, its cover screen is smaller at 1.5 inches.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and sports a dual rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The inner display houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The device is equipped with a larger 4,200mAh battery and shares the IP52 water and dust resistance rating.
