Motorola seems to be gearing up to launch their Moto Edge X smartphone soon. The device has now appeared with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra moniker. Reports reveal that the smartphone carries the codenames ‘Rogue’ and ‘HiPhi’ for other companies. Besides, it has also shown up on the 3C certification website. This definitely hints at the launch being right around the corner.
As per the 3C certification listing, we see that the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra carries the model number XT2201. Now, ahead of its official launch, noted tech portal Technik News has tipped its key specs. Going by this, we can now indeed expect to see the upcoming Snapdragon 898 chipset by Qualcomm powering the device. Without any further ado, here’s a quick rundown of all the other details.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Specifications (Leaked)
Starting off with the display, the Moto Edge X aka Edge 30 Ultra will feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display. In addition, it is an OLED display display with a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC.

Talking a bit about the Snapdragon 898 SoC, it is based on a 4nm process. The chipset comes with a clock speed of 3.0GHz on the main core. It also brings 5G connectivity to the table. In addition, the octa-core chipset will pair up with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RRAM and 256GB of storage on the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. We will most likely not see any option for further expansion on the device.
For photography and videography, we may see a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50A primary sensor alongside another 50-megapixel Samsung JN150 ultra-wide-angle sensor. Accompanying these two sensors will be a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV20B1B depth sensor.
On the battery front, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will pack a 5000mAh battery. The battery capacity will pair up with 68W fast charging support. This will charge the device up to 50 percent in 15 minutes. Moreover, the device will take 35 minutes to attain full charge.

Additional features will most likely include a dedicated Google Assistant button. We may also get an IP52 water resistant device. When it comes to audio, we can expect to see stereo speakers alongside a triple microphone setup with audio-zoom microphone as well. Connectivity options may include Wi-Fi 6, 5G support, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS and more. However, the device may not offer a 3.5mm headphone jack.
