The Moto G series of devices go all the way back to 2013, when the very first Motorola G was launched. Since then, the company has come a long way into developing the series into something that sits at par and more in line with today’s standards. The Moto G50 5G is the company’s next offering in the G series of devices. It will launch as a toned down version of the Moto G60, from the looks of it. The smartphone has now appeared on Geekbench, which reveals the key specifications of the device.

Usually when devices appear on Geekbench, their official launches are not that far away. We can assume the same for the Moto G50 5G as the smartphone has been spotted on the benchmarking website. Moreover, a variant of the device has already gone official in Europe. The one listed on Geekbench is not the same. Without any further ado, here is a quick rundown of the Moto G50 specs revealed by Geekbench.
Moto G50 Specifications (Geekbench)
The G50 5G has been listed on Geekbench with the codename Saipan. On the processor front, the device is powered by the MT6833V SoC. Now, this particular model number belongs to the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. According to the Geekbench listing, the chipset will pair up with 4GB of RAM. When it comes to software, the device will run on Android 11 right out-of-the-box.

The upcoming Moto G50 5G has scored 546 points in Geekbench’s single-core tests. In the multi-core tests of the benchmarking website, it has scored 1695 points. Noted tipster Evan Blass has also tipped the design renders of the upcoming smartphone recently. This revealed the smartphone to arrive with a water-drop notch display design. The renders also revealed the presence of thick bezels at the chin of the device.
When talking about the optics, the Moto G50 5G will come with a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor. However, details of the other two sensors is currently under wraps. An LED flash will also accompany the setup. At the front, the smartphone will sport a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Design renders also revealed the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the battery front, the handset will pack a 4,700mAh battery along with fast charging, details of which is currently not known. The smartphone will come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The resolution of the display will be that of 1600 x 720 pixels. Sadly, this is all that is known about the Moto G50 5G specs at the moment. The Moto G50 price is currently under wraps too.
