In a new addition to their G lineup, Motorola has added two new smartphones – the Moto G 5G (2022) and the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022). The later phone succeeds last year’s Moto G Stylus (2021) and comes with quite a few new interesting features as well as a significant price increase. These phones are currently available in the United States and will come to the Canadian market soon. However, there has been no word regarding when they will be available in India.

Moto G 5G (2022): Specifications and Features
The Moto G 5G (2022) comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 SoC powers the smartphone and it comes with 4GB/6GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone storage can be expanded up-to 1TB via a micro SDXC card. The smartphone runs Android 12 and comes with a promise of one Android update and three years of security updates.
It comes with a rear triple-camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary camera and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors – a black and white depth and a macro sensor. It has a 13-megapixel sensor housed inside the punch hole on the screen for selfies and video calls. A 5000mAh battery backs the smartphone with support for 10W fast charger.

The phone weighs 204 grams and measures 165.4×75.8×9.44mm and features an IP52 rating, making it splash sweat resistant. The smartphone comes with a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a micro-SD card slot.
Moto G 5G (2022): Price and Availability
The Moto G 5G (2022) starts from USD 399.99 (approximately Rs.30,530) and will be available starting May 19th. It is currently only available for purchase in the US. Motorola has made no announcements regarding when it will be available for sale in India. The phone is available in only one color – Moonlight Gray.

Moto G Stylus 5G (2022): Specifications and Features
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) features a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 2,460×1,080 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a centred punch-hole housing a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 695G= paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS2.1 internal storage. The smartphone boasts a 5000mAh battery supporting 10W fast charger and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
On the rear, the smartphone has a triple camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 118-degree FoV and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. As the name implies, the this smartphone comes with an in-built stylus pen. It runs Android 12 out-of-the-box, and Motorola has promised an Android 13 update and more than three years of security updates. The smartphone also has a edge-mounted fingerprint sensor, a headphone jack and a USB-C port for charging.

Moto G Stylus 5G (2022); Price and Availability
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) starts at USD 499 (approximately Rs.38,118). It is available for pre-orders currently while the sales are scheduled to start on April 28th.
Customers have two color choices – Seafoam Green and Steel Blue. The smartphone measures 168.9 × 75.8 × 9.3mm and weighs 216 grams. There has been no official news regarding when it will be available in the Indian market.
