  • Renders of the Motorola Moto Edge 40 Pro 5G have leaked online, hinting at its imminent launch and a few key specifications. Sources suggest that the handset may most likely launch in the next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. However, ahead of its launch, a notable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) has leaked the renders of the upcoming device. Giving users a sneak peek into its design, colour and few specifications.

    The renders of the handset suggest that it will come in black and blue shades. Moreover, the smartphone may most likely feature a triple rear camera unit. Let us know more about the upcoming handset in this article.

    Moto Edge 40 Pro: Design

    As per the renders, the handset will be available in two colour options- black and blue. It will likely be the rebranded version of the Motorola Moto X40 that was launched earlier in China. The renders reveal that the handset will offer a 3D curved front display panel, a metal frame that wraps around the body and a frosted glass back. Moreover, we can see the selfie camera in a hole punch cut out at the top centre of the display. Whereas the rear camera is housed in a rounded square. The handset features a volume and a power button at the right edge. While the speaker grilles and the charging sport are seen at the bottom edge.

    Specifications (Expected)

    The upcoming handset will feature a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with an FHD Plus resolution, 165Hz high refresh rate and DC dimming support. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC along with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset will run on Android 13 OS and come with an in-display optical fingerprint scanner for biometric security. 

    Regarding camera configuration, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera unit. Led by a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. Along with a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor. Additionally, it may include a 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Lastly, the smartphone will offer a 4,600mAh battery along with 125W wired and 15W wireless charging support.
