Xiaomi has launched their Mi Pad 5 series of tablets in China alongside the flagship Mi MIX 4 smartphone on August 10, which is today. The virtual event was livestreamed via the company’s official social media channels. Moreover, the brand has also announced their series of Mi OLED Smart TVs in the country. Moreover, the latest series of tablets by Xiaomi include the vanilla Mi Pad 5 and the more premium Pad 5 Pro.

Mi Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro Prices and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 price in China has been set at CNY 1999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. Moreover, this converts to roughly Rs. 23,000. Meanwhile, the 6GB/256GB variant of the tablet comes with a price tag of CNY 2299. Now, this converts to approximately Rs. 26,300.

On the other hand, the Mi Pad 5 Pro price in China starts at CNY 2499 for the 6GB/128GB variant. This is a slightly more premium variant in the series and converts to around Rs. 28.600. Additionally, the 6GB/256GB and 8GB/256GB variants come with price tags of CNY 2799 (approximately Rs. 32,100) and CNY 3499 (roughly Rs. 40,100), respectively.
Mi Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro Specifications
Starting off with the Mi Pad 5 specifications, it features a large 11-inch LCD display. Additionally, the display comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Moreover, the tablet display also comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. We can also see HDR10 certification and TrueTone alongside Dolby Vision support on the tablet’s display.
On the processor front, both the tablets are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The premium tablets come with High-Res audio and Dolby Atmos support as well. When it comes to battery, the Pad 5 packs a 8,720mAh battery along with 33W fast charging support. For photos and videos, the tablet features a dual rear camera setup. The setup includes a 13MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP secondary sensor.

Now, coming to the Mi Pad 5 Pro specifications, it features a similar 11-inch LCD display with 2560×1600 resolution. Additionally, the tablet comes with a 120Hz fast refresh rate alongside HDR 10, TrueTone and Dolby Vision as well. For photos and videos, the tablet features a dual rear camera setup which includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary sensor. On the battery front, the device packs a massive 8600 mAh battery along with 67W fast charging support.
