Mediatek Dimensity 8250 Debuts With NavIC Support & These Features

MediaTek has revealed its Dimensity 8250 chipset as part of its mid-range lineup. It is the successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor and offers powerful AI features. Furthermore, the processor also supports India’s NavIC GPS navigation satellites and is likely to power affordable phones under Rs.30,000. Dimensity 8250 Arrives with AI Features And 5G Support

The MediaTek Dimensity 8250 is a dedicated APU that performs AI tasks and maintains thermal efficiency under high loads. Furthermore, the company claims the MediaTek APU 580 can deliver excellent results in the ETHZ benchmark.

Regarding performance, you get an octa-core layout with 1x Cortex A78 clocked at 3.1GHz, 3x Cortex A78 running at 3GHz, and 4x Cortex A55 clocked at 2GHz.This 64-bit CPU boasts 4MB of L3 cache and supports UFS 3.1 storage.

In addition, the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 supports quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM with a maximum speed of 6400Mbps. You also get an ARM Mali G610 MC6 GPU for gaming that can power FHD+ displays at 180Hz and WQHD+ screens at 120Hz.

Moreover, it supports up to 320-megapixel cameras or a triple camera setup of 32-megapixel cameras each. It can also record videos at 4K at 60 FPS with HDR.

Availability And First Phones

The Oppo Reno 12 is likely to be the first phone to launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 chipset. It will debut in China first, then arrive in Europe and other countries.
