You Might Be Able To Pre-book The Upcoming JioPhone From Next Week

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the JioPhone Next back in June in India. The smartphone is the result of a collaboration between Reliance Jio and Google. Moreover, nothing in specifics were available at the time. Previous leaks have hinted at its hardware and software details. In addition, a recent leak hinted that the pricing and specifications of the phone have leaked once again.

Now, this Google-Jio partnership brings an optimized Android experience to the JioPhone Next. This optimization allows the smartphone to run Android seamlessly on entry-level hardware. It also gives users Google Play store access. Additionally, the smartphone offers a lot of other features like voice assistant, language translation and more. However, courtesy of 91mobiles, they have exclusively learned from retail sources the phone will be up for pre-booking in India next week.

Now, this particular information falls in line with its launch timeline happening on September 10th, 2021. JioPhone Next specifications, pricing details are yet to be confirmed. However, we have acquired some information on the same via leaks and rumours.

JioPhone Next Price in India (Expected)

According to the latest leak from tipster Yogesh, it will launch at a price of around ₹3,499. Although he notes that it is estimated pricing of the phone. So, to know the final pricing of the phone we will have to wait for the launch for that. As we know, Jio is looking to disrupt the affordable 4G smartphone market and such a price tag should do the trick. It remains to be seen whether Jio plans to launch the JioPhone Next with a bundled plan much as it did with the Jio Phone.

Jio Phone Next Specifications (Expected)

According to leaks, it will come packed with a bigger 5.5-inch HD display and support for 4G VoLTE dual SIM. The tipster reveals that the phone will pack a 2,500mAh battery.

On the camera front, the JioPhone Next can include a single 13-megapixel sensor on the rear panel. Whereas, on the front, the smartphone is tipped to include an 8-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, the phone is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC paired with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Moreover, the JioPhone Next is expected to come in two RAM and storage variants including 2GB and 3GB RAM and 16GB and 32GB of internal storage. On the software front, it is tipped to run the Android 11 Go edition out-of-the-box.
