The company calls this service as the ‘Recharge Now and Pay Later’ offer. Moreover, Jio states that they have recently augmented their network to near about double the data capacity and speed. Users from across the country have already started reporting an increase in their data speed and a better network connectivity.
Jio says that several users consume their daily data quota very fast. This prevents them from doing a lot of things throughout the day as the high-speed connectivity has expired. Now, this is exactly where the Jio emergency data loan service comes in. As a lot of the users in the country may not be able to instantly purchase a top-up data, they can loan data and pay later.

Jio Emergency Data Loan: How To Avail
In order to avail for the brand new emergency data loan feature, users need to follow these steps:
- Open the MyJio app and navigate to ‘Menu’ on the top left of the page
- Tap and select ‘Emergency Data Loan’ under the mobile services tab
- Click on ‘Proceed’ on the Emergency Data Loan banner
- Select ‘Get emergency data’ option
- Click on ‘Activate now’ to get the emergency loan benefit. Your data loan will be activated instantly.
- Payment for the emergency data loan you have availed can be done from the same page

Now comes the question, how much data can Jio users loan via the Jio emergency data loan service? So, users can loan up to five emergency data loan packs of 1GB. Moreover, each of these packs are priced at Rs. 11, which is great. However, users need to have an existing plan to opt for the Jio emergency data loan pack. Additionally, the data loan will be valid as per the existing base plan’s validity.
