Reliance Jio to begin the rollout of the new 5G services in the selected cities. Also, the roll-out will begin later this month. The pan India rollout will cover by December 2023. The first-tier cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai will get the new services first.
Moreover, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani stated that Jio would remain affordable worldwide. In a statement given by a top executive whose identity is not revealed, he states, ‘We will always remain affordable. This is Jio’s lifetime stand and will offer more value to customers ‘.

5G Services – Affordable + Competitive
This statement came after the 5G services launch by PM Modi at the IMC 2022 event. Further, a Jio Executive mentioned that customers need not switch SIM cards. The users don’t have to change their SIM for the 5G services.
Instead, the 5GB services will offer an opt-in option. It will automatically upgrade the 5G services in the existing SIM cards. Even, Jio also said that its network is upgradable technology. It will upgrade the 4G towers to 5G.

The statement states that Jio recharge packs will be the most affordable with the opt-in option. He also stated that the smartphones/tablets with 5G support would automatically display the network availability of 5G.
Jio has revealed the plans to start to roll out the 5G services in selected cities from Diwali. This is done in response to the pan India rollout by December 2023. Jio, a part of the oil to retail conglomerate Reliance Industries, referred to that by deploying radio on top of existing 4G towers. It is a core network that will switch to next-generation technology.
