Vivo recently launched their iQOO Z5 5G smartphone in both India and China. Reports hinted that they are gearing up for the launch of yet another device from the series, the iQOO Z5X. However, nothing from the company came until today. On the other hand, certifications and leaks have already revealed some of the assumed specs of the device. Earlier this week, a TENAA listing suggested some key specifications of the smartphone.

On October 14, 2021, iQoo confirmed via their official Weibo account that iQoo Z5x will launch on October 20, 2021. According to the post, interested buyers can pre-order the smartphone through iQOO’s online shop. The landing page on the online shop teases that the smartphone will get a 5,000mAh battery.
iQOO Z5X Specifications (Expected/Leaked)
The landing page on iQOO’s online store also teases the design through some images of the upcoming smartphone. iQOO Z5x is shown in two colour options — Black and Orange. Moreover, the smartphone comes with a rectangular camera module that houses two lenses. It might have a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The phone also looks to have a volume rocker and a power button. Whereas, the bottom of iQOO Z5x apparently houses a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

According to previous leaks, the upcoming iQOO Z5x will be driven by the Dimensity 900 chipset. It will support 44W fast charging, according to the tipster (via GizmoChina). The upcoming iQOO phone featuring MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 processor is also in the Google Console listing.
This may indicate that the iQOO Z5x will be pricing lower than the iQOO Z5. The latter is powering on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor. However, there is no sign that the device will be coming to India.

In terms of display, Play Console listing leaks that the iQOO Z5x’s display might include a centrally located punch-hole. However, it is unclear whether it will have the same 6.67-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 120Hz panel as the iQOO Z5. The rumour mill has yet to reveal anything about its cameras. The Z5x is rumoured to come with 8 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS.
