iQOO 7series and iQOO Z3 5G smartphone users are in for a treat. The company made a major announcement for these recently launched smartphones. In an official Twitter post, the company confirmed that all the users of the two devices will get two guaranteed Android upgrades over what the phones were launched with. Furthermore, the smartphones will also get three years of guaranteed Android security updates.

The recent devices by iQOO namely 7, iQOO 7 Legend, and the iQOO Z3 launched came with Android 11 in 2021. The recent announcement will provide these devices with Android updates till 2023 and might receive Android 14 as well. However, the typical definition of two years of Android updates suggests that the iQOO smartphones will receive Android 12, as well as 2022’s Android 13 – which will be the final Android version upgrade that these devices will receive. Though the security updates of smartphones will continue until at least 2024.
iQOO 7 Specs
The iQOO 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, along with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It has a 6.62-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a drill-hole slot for the 16-megapixel front camera. The rear features a 48 -megapixel main + 13-megapixel ultra-wide + 2 -megapixel monochrome triple camera setup. The device is backed up by a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
The iQOO 7 Legend is powered by the Snapdragon 888 flagship SoC and has up to 12GB RAM. The display and the front camera remain the same, while to the rear, the 2-megapixel monochrome unit of the triple camera setup is replaced by a 13 -megapixel portrait unit. The battery on it is 4,000mAh.

iQOO Z3 Specs
The iQOO Z3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 6.58-inch full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will have a waterdrop notch which will house a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear features a 64 -megapixel main + 8-megapixel ultra-wide + 2MP macro triple camera setup. The phone is powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 55W fast charging.
