iQOO Neo 5 Allegedly Gets BIS Certification, Hints at Imminent India Launch

  • iQOO is all ready to launch its iQOO Neo 5 model in India soon. In the latest development, it has received a certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This is suggesting its India launch in the works. Moreover, it comes after the handset surfaced at the Google Play Console website with key details.

    The phone appears to carry the model number I2012 that is believed to be associated with Neo 5. However, other leaks suggest it can launch alongside iQOO 7 Legend.

    According to leaks, it can flaunt a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,400×1,080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 1300 nits brightness, and center-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It powers on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB expandable UFS 3.1 storage. iQOO Neo 5 5G runs Android 11-based OriginOS custom skin on top and packs an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, and Hi-Fi audio. A 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.

    Furthermore, iQOO Neo 5 price starts at RMB 2,499 (around Rs 27,900) for the 8GB+128GB base variant, RMB 2,699 (around Rs 30,100) for the 8GB+256GB model and RMB 2,999 (approx Rs 33,500) for the 12GB+256GB version. It comes in Black, Cloud Blue, and Pixel Orange colors.
