Apple’s next-generation iPhone SE is still in the pipeline if reports are true. Courtesy of leaks, hints of the same have surfaced online and can possibly launch in early 2022. According to a new report from well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac), this time it will launch with much-needed internal upgrades. Moreover, there are leaks that it will get a hole-punch display. However, Kuo believes that the phone will not see any design changes.

There are speculations that Apple’s next iPhone SE model will come with an upgraded processor. It will also help the budget iPhone to get 5G support. This would be a major upgrade for Apple. It will offer 5G connectivity to its fans on an entry-level iPhone for the first time. This particular variant is famous for its price point.

The phone offers a familiar design and form factor while featuring powerful internals. That’s exactly what we can expect from the iPhone SE 2022 according to Ming-Chi Kuo. Whereas, other rumors and leaks have suggested that Apple may redesign the iPhone SE for next year. Although Kuo thinks that it will not be the case.
As per the new report, Apple’s next iPhone SE variant will feature two main upgrades. It will offer 5G connectivity to users, which will make the entire iPhone lineup 5G compatible. The phone will also come with a newer processor that should offer even more performance than the current model. According to Kuo, the new iPhone SE will arrive in H1 2022.

As per Kuo, the 2022 iPhone SE will have a similar design as that of the existing 4.7-inch variant. It is thus more likely to focus on optimum performance than design at that price point.
