  • According to a recent report, the iPhone 13 series will launch in September and will include Wi-Fi 6E support for the 6GHz band as well as greater range. The rumors say that the new Apple smartphone will include improved cameras, including a wide-angle lens, as well as expanded mmWave support to more regions.

With the iPhone 11, Apple launched Wi-Fi 6, which considerably enhanced speed and security over the Wi-Fi 5 protocol. Wi-Fi 6E is considered a minor improvement because it only adds limited 6GHz band support. This will result in greater bandwidth and lesser interference for Wi-Fi 6E devices.

According to the report, the three companies listed above would see third-quarter sales climb even more. This is due to increased demand for VCSEL chips as iPhones continue to deploy 3D Face ID sensors for basic models and ToF LiDAR scanners for the Pro series.

According to a recent Bloomberg report, Apple has requested suppliers to manufacture around 90 million next-generation iPhone phones this year.
