Apple’s World Wide Developers (WWDC) 2023 has been announced. WWDC 2023 is going to happen on June 5, 2023. Apple can launch the new OS, iOS 17 update in this event. Apart from iPhone OS iOS 17, a new OS will also release for iPad, Mac and other products. The update of iOS 17 will be announced along with the launch of the Apple iPhone 15, but before that a disappointing news has come to the fore.

It is being said in a report that Apple iPhone 14, Apple iPhone 14 Plus, Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max will get iOS 17 updates. Some old iPhone names are also there in this list, but there are also some old phones which are not going to get its update.

According to a new report by MacRumors, Apple might provide the latest iOS 17 update to two generations of iPhones which received the iOS 16 update.
The Apple iPhone 8, Apple iPhone 8 Plus, and Apple iPhone X will get the new iOS update. These phones have recently received iOS 16.4 update, but these phones are very unlikely to get iOS 17 updates, although Apple has not said anything officially in this regard. Here’s the list of the potentially eligible iPhones:

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus was launched with iOS 11 while iPhone X came with iOS 11.1. All three iPhones have received five major OS updates. iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, and iPad 5th generation will also not get the iPadOS 17 update.
