Infinix is planning to launch a new smartphone in India called the Infinix Smart 8. The phone is the second device in the Smart 8 series after the Infinix Smart 8 HD, which arrived last year.

Infinix Smart 8 To Launch On January 13
The Infinix Smart 8 will debut in the country on January 13 at 12 PM IST. The phone will be available exclusively via Flipkart. Moreover, the phone is likely to have a price tag of less than Rs.7,000 based on the teaser.

The company claims it is the first device in this segment to offer an 8-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash, Magic Ring and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone will also have a 50-megapixel primary camera with portrait mode and AR shots.
In addition, the phone will have 4GB of RAM+4GB of virtual RAM and 64GB of storage. It will also pack a 5,000mAh battery with a USB-C port.
Smart 8 Specifications
The Infinix Smart 8 has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the screen has a peak brightness of 500 nits and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

The UniSoc T606 processor powers the phone and paired with up to 4GB of RAM. It runs on XOS 13 based on Android 13 and comes with up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Smart 8 has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a secondary AI sensor for optics. On the front, an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies is accompanied by an LED flash.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging with USB-C. Additionally, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security.
