Honor has introduced MagicOS 9.0 in China, just ahead of the upcoming launch of its Honor Magic 7 flagship series. The company called it the world’s first AI-powered operating system that can adapt to various user needs. Rollout And Availability of Honor MagicOS 9.0 Release Date
Honor has confirmed that three dozen devices will get the MagicOS 9.0 update, but currently, it’s only for the Chinese market. MagicOS 9.0 is based on Android 15 and uses MagicLM, Honor’s special language model. This helps the OS understand natural language, recognize images, and learn from user habits to provide a more personalized experience. For example, the system can order coffee and handle payments with just one voice command, acting like a real assistant.
The new 3B parameter model uses fewer resources than the older 7B model, leading to:
- 80% less power usage
- 77% faster loading speed
- 500% quicker word processing
This also reduces storage by 1.8 GB and RAM usage by 1.6 GB.
