Many surprising numbers come from the TRG data centre for the most deleted apps in 2023. A survey has found that people globally prefer to delete Instagram over other social media apps this year. According to the report, Instagram was the platform users most wanted to delete. In 2023, more than 1 million people around the world were searching for “how to delete Instagram accounts” every month. This equates to more than 12,500 searches for her per 1,00,000 people worldwide.

Research shows that 10,20,000 people want to delete Instagram in 2023. Snapchat 1,28,500, Telegram 71,700, Twitter 12,300, Facebook 49,000, YouTube 12,500 and Tiktok 24,900. On the other side, 4,950 for WhatsApp and 2,090 for WeChat.

US-based tech company Meta’s Threads app gained 100 million users in five days but has seen an 80% drop in daily active users since its launch in July 2023. Many social media apps struggle to stay relevant, prompting the organization to survey popular apps that have fallen out of favour this year, according to the report.
