Google announced its much-awaited Pixel 6 series earlier this week alongside the Android 12 update. The update was available for users using pixel 3 and later. The modifications included improvements and some new privacy and security features. But surprisingly, the shift to Android 12 doesn’t appear to be operating smoothly for many.
Although Pixel users were the ones to receive the Android 12 update, they are the first ones to face bugs and other compatibility issues.

Google pixel users faces crash in their handsets
Being at the top in updates and uncluttered interface, Google is now facing concerns as the users suffer issues in updates. Recently, some Pixel device owners upgraded their devices to Google’s latest mobile operating system. They reported that they were encountering app crashes and freezing on their smartphones. Not just that, Android 12 has also brought some irritating bugs for the users that have ultimately led to battery draining.
One of the users reported “I’ve just upgraded to android 12, and immediately I noticed the upper 10-15% of the screen is touch insensitive. Only the left upper corner where the pinhole camera is working. In safe mode, all works ok; also, everything worked today before upgrading. Funny that if I open app settings, the upper part starts working again. If I leave to another app or the home screen, it’s dead again. This is a disaster since there were no issues today before updating to 12. Please help!! Jaka” reads a community post on Google Pixel help. Meanwhile, another user posted, “Hey, after my update to android 12, some apps are crashing continuously, and the battery is draining very fast.”
There are multiple threads of users complaining about issues where the upper part of their screen stops responding to touch. Meantime, some users are experiencing app crashes and freezes frequently after upgrading to the latest iteration of Android.
When Google came to know about Pixel users facing issues, it said that it is due to incompatibility with third-party apps. But it is still unclear what is causing apps to crash on so many devices.
