The Google Pixel 8 Pro leaks online specified the camera specifications, months before it is supposed to come out. The phone that comes after the Google Pixel 7 Pro from last year is likely to have a camera processor from Samsung that was announced back in 2021. This means that the main camera on the Pixel 8 Pro will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. The Pixel 7 Pro and Google Pixel 6 Pro both had the Samsung ISOCELL GN1 camera sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, has the new 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 sensor from Samsung.
A Twitter user named Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) says that the main camera on the Pixel 8 Pro may have a Samsung ISOCELL GN2 camera sensor. In February 2021, Samsung came out with this 1/1.12-inch sensor. The 50MP image sensor reportedly simulates a bigger 2.8-micron pixel size with quad-pixel-binning technology, enhancing the low-light performance. It also lets users take full-HD videos at 480fps, 4K videos at 120fps, and 8K videos at 30fps.

It’s important to remember that this isn’t the first time that Google Pixel 8 phones were said to have Samsung’s GN2 sensor. Some group of hackers finds clues suggesting Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have the same camera sensor.
Last month, leaked images of Google Pixel 8 Pro gave us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming smartphones. The pictures showed that the designs and back cameras of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are similar to their predecessors.
The company will hold its Google I/O developer meeting next month. Customers may get a sneak peek of the Pixel 8 series if the company follows last year’s pattern. On May 10, Google I/O 2023, the Google Pixel 7a and the rumoured Google Pixel Fold are likely to be shown off. Google Pixel 8 Pro leaks are circulating online, but the company has not confirmed its release at the upcoming event.
