In India, the Pixel 7a will be offered in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The smartphone will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting May 11 at a price of Rs. 43,999. Customers who use HDFC Bank cards to buy the phone will receive an instant discount of Rs. 4,000 as part of the launch deal. As a result, the cost is reduced to Rs. 39,999. There will be three finishes for the Pixel 7a: Charcoal, Snow, and Sea.
The Google Pixel 7a features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a first for the Pixel A-series because earlier devices always opted for the industry-standard 60Hz refresh rate. The Gorilla Glass 3 screen from Corning shields the display and supports HDR. The fingerprint reader for the phone is built into the screen.
Google has upgraded the Tensor G2 SoC to power the Pixel 7a, which also powers the premium Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. The CPU is available with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage in addition to its Titan M2 security co-processor.
The device supports communication methods such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, and typical global positioning systems. At the bottom is a USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 2) port.
The phone does not include a charger in the box and has a 4,385mAh battery, which is smaller than the battery in the Google Pixel 6a. But with the Google Pixel 7a launch, Google has finally added wireless charging, and it works with the Qi charging protocol.
Camera Specifications
The phone’s cameras have improved noticeably over the previous iteration in terms of optics. A 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) is available on the Pixel 7a. The device’s front camera and ultra wide-angle camera have both been upgraded to a 13-megapixel sensor. The phone is 193.5g in weight and has dimensions of 152mm by 72.9mm by 9mm.
With Android 13, the device offers the Google Pixel OS experience, and the upgraded Tensor G2 SoC also brings faster Night Sight and Long Exposure capabilities to the Pixel 7a.
