Google Pixel 5a — a successor to the company’s mid-range Pixel 4a can launch soon in India. However, we are not seeing extensive leaks the way smartphones do as they near their official launches. Although a new leak suggests that the device is under testing and certifications stages right now. Moreover, the company is yet to make any confirmation on the same. There is an unknown Pixel phone with a model number GR0M2 reportedly surfacing on the BIS website.

The BIS certification lists the smartphone with its codename nomenclature. This leads us to believe it corresponds to the upcoming Pixel phone. The list has suggested that the Google Pixel 5a is now close to its official commercial launch. Furthermore, the new smartphone is expecting to launch in the US in June.
Google Pixel 5a Leaks
This comes from Tipster Mukul Sharma’s tweet stating the BIS listing of the mysterious Google phone that carries the model number GR0M2. He suggested that it could be the Google Pixel 5a. However, if we look closely, the model number does not align with those of its predecessors.
Nonetheless, the smartphone is expected to be in development and can launch soon. Additionally, it can have almost the same design and shape as the Pixel 4a, though with some hardware-level channels. On the other hand, an updated Pixel-series camera app recently suggested that the Google Pixel 5a can come with a hole-punch display design with a smaller cutout for the selfie camera. This, in comparison to what we have on the existing Pixel phones. Moreover, some 3D CAD renders of the Pixel 5a also appeared online that suggest a plastic build.

Furthermore, reports have suggested that the Google Pixel 5a may feature a 6.2-inch full HD+ OLED display. It can also have a plastic body to keep things light, slim and compact. It may feature a dual-camera configuration at the back. Not much else is known about it as yet. However, given previous traits, the Pixel 5a may run on a new generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor.
