Democrats, led by Senator Ron Wyden from Oregon, have sent a letter to Google asking them to cease keeping track of its users’ every step.
The letter argues that law enforcement agents often get court orders requiring Google to provide the location information of its users. Moreover, this includes “geofence” orders, which are requests to share information on everyone near a specific area at a particular time.
