God of War Ragnarok is receiving a free Valhalla DLC this week. As a part of the one-year celebration, Sony’s Santa Monica Studio is releasing a free DLC for the game.

The developer revealed the DLC during The Game Awards 2023, and it will be available for free on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. Here is everything you need to know about the new expansion.
God Of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC Coming On December 12
The God Of War Ragnarok new DLC is releasing on December 12 for the base game on PS4 and PS5 at 9 AM Pacific. The story of the DLC will serve as an epilogue after the events of the game following Kratos and his friend Mimir on a personal journey.

Similar to the No Return Mode introduced in the upcoming Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered, Kratos will face endless enemies in this new roguelike mode. This means that defeat in combat will not be the end of your journey, as Kartos will reawaken for the next try outside the doors of Valhalla.
Valhalla Brings A Roguelike Combat Experience
Furthermore, the more resources you gather in each run, the more you will count towards the permanent upgrades affecting Kratos and Valhalla. Players will be able to access the skill tree from the base God of War Ragnarok, but they can only equip one shield and Spartan Rage on each run.

Moreover, you will get temporary perks as you progress further with every attempt. You can also customize your armours as it is only for cosmetic changes in the DLC and make any difference.
Difficulty Settings And When To Play The DLC?
There are five difficulty settings in the new God Of War DLC, with each offering greater rewards in battle. Players will be able to change the difficulty during each run and customize the gameplay experience with the accessibility settings.
