Garena Free Fire has finally received the OB31 New Age update. Yesterday, on December 1, 2021, the game was taken down for maintenance for six hours. Now, we have finally gotten the update. The brand new update brings a several significant changes to the game alongside a new game mode. Free Fire took to their official website to post their Patch Notes for the latest season.

Garena Free Fire OB31 Update Download
In order to download the brand new game, players simply need to head over to the Google Play Store or App Store. The former is for Android users while the latter is for iOS users. The update will be of anywhere in between 400-500mb. The brand new update is called New Age and uses Winter Wonderland as its core theme. Multiple characters have gotten nerfs and buffs this season and here is all you need to know.

Character Buffs and Nerfs
Chrono
The character’s force field can no longer be shot through. According to the developers, the Time Turner skill was too overpowered and definitely needed this buff for players to not feel too safe inside it.
Time Turner:
Creates a force field that blocks 600 -> 800 damages from enemies -> all sources.
All effects last for 3/3/4/4/5/5s -> 4/4/5/5/6/6s.
Cooldown: 250/242/235/229/224/220s -> 180/164/150/138/128/120s.
Removed: One can fire at outside foes from within the force field.
Removed: Movement speed increases by 5/6/7/8/9/10%.
New: The force field blocks all damage sources from the inside and the outside.
Maxim
Decreased the time reduction of using Med Kits. The Gluttony skill, which was previously buffed, has now been nerfed.
Gluttony:
Eating and using MedKits faster by 15/18/22/27/33/40% -> 5/8/12/17/23/30%.
K
EP recovery increased, MAX EP increased. The Psychology Mode in Master of All skill has been buffed.
Master of All:
Psychology Mode: Recover 2->3 EP every 3/2.8/2.6/2.4/2.2/2s -> 2.2/2/1.8/1.6/1.4/1s, up to 100/110/120/130/140/150 -> 150/170/190/210/230/250 EP.
D-Bee
Accuracy of the Bullet Beats skill has been increased.
Bullet Beats:
Accuracy increases by 10/13/17/22/28/35% -> 20/23/27/32/38/45%.
Thiva
Revival time of the Vital Vibes skill has been decreased to make it more usable.
Vital Vibes:
Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 5/8/11/14/17/20% -> 10/13/16/19/22/25%.

Free Fire Lone Wolf
The Lone Wolf mode has been brought back by the developers of the game. Garena Free Fire Lone Wolf mode allows players to choose their weapons in turns every two rounds. Players will be required to secure the win by not just playing with their favourite weapons but, with their opponent’s favourite ones too.
Garena Free Fire OB31 Update Weapon Adjustments
Firstly, a brand new weapon called MAC10 has been added to the game. In addition, weapons have received buffs and nerfs as well. Here is the complete list:
Effective range of the following weapons have been decreased:
- UMP – Effective range decreased by 5%
- MP5 – Effective range decreased by 3%
- Thompson – Effective range decreased by 3%
- UZI – Effective range decreased by 5%
- MAG-7 – Effective range decreased by 3%
Further, the guns that have been buffed are the following:
- SCAR recoil decreased by 10%
- M60 recoil decreased by 30% in Machine Gun Mode
- UMP and XM8 reload time increased by 5%
- MP5-X fire rate increased by 5%
- Kar98k fire rate increased by 10%
- Groza armour penetration increased by 20%

New Rank Tier Added
On top of all this, we also get to see a new rank being added to the game. This new rank tier is called the Master Rank. The newly added rank tier will be placed above the Heroic tier in Garena Free Fire. According to the developers, the skill gap amongst Heroic players was getting larger so they decided to make it more challenging by introducing a new tier.
