Instagram And Facebook Face Global Outage, Down For Many Users
Meta’s Facebook and Instagram are not working for thousands of users worldwide, as per Downdetector. Data from the outage tracking website showed that there were over 18,000 reports of users facing problems while accessing Instagram- 59% of them faced issues while accessing the app,34% had server connection issues, and 7% had issues logging into it.

If you’ve been experiencing issues when trying to access Instagram, Threads, Facebook, or other Meta services, you’re not alone. Some users have been complaining about these services being slow or completely down on Tuesday night.
Reports of Instagram and Facebook outages began appearing on Downdetector around 7 p.m. (EST). Threads are also experiencing disruptions, although they weren’t reflected in the tool until after 8 p.m. (EST).

Internet Flooded With Complaints About Meta Services
Users also shared their opinions on Instagram and Facebook in the comments section on Downdetector. One user wrote, “I never realised how addicted I am to Instagram until I am in this situation again”.
Another user while taking a sarcastic note about the situation stated, “How am i supposed to complain about my stomach hurting when Instagram is down”
It’s still unclear how many users have been affected today by Facebook and Instagram being down. However, the error message shown on Threads says that Meta is already working to fix these issues – so hopefully everything will be fixed very soon.
