FromSoftware released their much anticipated title Elden Ring on February 25, 2022. The game was an instant hit and started breaking records right after it was out. Steam Top Sellers List (Week 8, 2022)
We can see on SteamDB that the game has beaten Lost Ark, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends and all the AAA multiplayer games as well to be at the very top. In order, here’s a quick look at the Steam Top Sellers list for Week 8 into 2022:
- Elden Ring
- Elden Ring
- Elden Ring Deluxe Edition
- Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition
- Elden Ring
- Destiny 2: The Wich Queen
- Steam Deck
- Dying Light 2 Stay Human
- Total War: Warhammer III
- Cyberpunk 2077
Funny enough, the game takes up four spots in the list. This goes on to show how much the game has been in demand. Another interesting thing to note here is that Cyberpunk 2077 really has been holding its on in the top ten list. It seems that the game is finally gaining some positive reviews from all over, especially after its recent major update.
The list does contain both titles that have had drastically opposite fates. While Elden Ring has been an instant hit, Cyberpunk 2077 was a massive blunder. Game developers should get a clear idea from these two games about what TO do and what NOT to do.
