DxOMark: Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro Cameras Better Than Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro finally got its DxOMark ratings. In this listing, we see the top 5 filled with Huawei and Xiaomi smartphones. However, barely making its way in is Apple’s iPhone 12Pro Max. In addition, it beats a lot of other flagships with higher specs. Mi 10T Pro with its mid-range specs does not dethrone other flagship offerings.

However, it cements its place in the middle of the pack, outperforming heavyweights such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Snapdragon variant), albeit by a single point.

“This model isn’t quite on par with Xiaomi’s best camera phones. As they deliver better low-light and zoom performance, but it certainly holds its own in the mid-range segment.”

DxOMark also conducted a wide range of its proprietary tests on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G. The summarization of it is below:

First of all, it does quite well in the still photos department, with its impressive 108MP lens. However, its HDR capabilities are said to leave a lot to be desired, with ghosting artifacts appearing in more than one instance.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G’s low-light photography also disappoints a bit. There is a significant loss of details in photographs once the lighting conditions begin to get dim. Furthermore, the lack of a dedicated Bokeh lens resulted in in-depth estimation errors in Bokeh photos.

DxOMark notes that the Mi 10T Pro has an impressive stabilization mechanism. Once again, it suffers under low-light conditions with visible artifacts creeping up in videos. This effectively cements the fact that the Mi 10T Pro is ideal only for shooting in environments with ambient light.

On the other hand, it stresses that the Mi 10T Pro stands out in its class of mid-range smartphones in the camera department.
