Vi began informing subscribers in Delhi about the availability of its 5G service. This comes a few days after Airtel declared its intention to launch its 5G network. Airtel is set to launch its 5G network in August.
There are reports of SMS being received by Vi users. It’s saying that the Delhi NCR region will soon have a superfast 5G network on Vi. They also inform them that they will experience superior speed and coverage soon.
Vi has teamed with industry giants like Nokia and Ericsson to get the hardware needed for its 5G launch. They used the most recent software from Ericsson. Using it, they ran several tests in various places and achieved a high speed of 5.92Gbps in Pune.

Airtel’s Initial Plan
The 5G service from telecom provider Airtel will debut this month. The business had already provided information on this. The company has previously stated that the 5G service will debut in August.
The debut of Airtel’s 5G service this month does not imply that the 5G service will be accessible nationwide. It used to be available only in major cities. This service is available wherever the 5G pilot test has been successful. By the end of this year, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will have access to Airtel’s 5G service. India-wide 5G service from Airtel may not be available before March 2024.

Vi 5G in Delhi NCR soon?
The services were supposed to start this month and be available to everyone by October. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may announce the 5G services in India at the Indian Mobile Congress 2022. The event takes place on September 29.
Even if the wording is unclear on the exact date, it is expected that Delhi’s 5G service will emerge shortly. Even it may begin as early as October 2022.
Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Gurugram, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Lucknow are the cities where 5G can also come out in 2022, other than Delhi.
