CoD Mobile Season 1 is now just a day away from drawing to a close. With that being said, CoD Mobile Season 2 release date has been officially unveiled as well. Hype for the new season kicked off right after Season 1: Heist went live. This is always the case with ultra-popular mobile games like Call of Duty Mobile.
The upcoming CoD Mobile Season 2 is expected to bring tons of new content to the table. We will get to see a brand new season so, a new battle pass is obviously going to arrive. Moreover, several guns like the HBRa3 and AK47 are expected to receive major buffs. These buffs will reportedly make these guns viable in ranked matches all over again.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Release Date & Name
The new season of CoD Mobile is all set to land on February 23 2022 at 4PM PT. This basically converts to 5:30AM IST. CoD Mobile updates are always known to drop at this time. Besides, official trailer of the upcoming update was officially revealed via Call of Duty Mobile’s official YouTube channel today.
The upcoming season will be called Task Force 141. Fans of the Call of Duty franchise will know that the Task Force 141 is no ordinary group. It includes popular characters from the franchise like Lieutenant General Shepherd, Captain John Price, Captain John “Soap” MacTavish, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley and other such iconic characters. Going by this, naming CoD Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141 does seem clever.

Additionally, this is also a direct hint to Ghost’s return in the mobile game. So yes, we will indeed get to see another character skin of one of the most popular characters in the game. Don’t know about your Martini but, the mobile version of CoD is soon going to be shaken and stirred with this update.
CoD Mobile Season 2 Weapons
An important thing to note is that things will be changing for better or worse this season when it comes to introducing new weapons. Usually, we get two new weapons each and every new season of CoD Mobile. However, in Season 2, we will get to see only one weapon. This will be the popular JAK-12 shotgun from Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

This particular shotgun has the potential to pretty much break the close range meta in the game. JAK-12 is regarded as one of the fastest firing shotguns to have ever been introduced in the Modern Warfare franchise. From the looks of it, the shotgun will most likely annoy players in the mobile version too.
New Map & Scorestreak
Like in every new season of the game, this time we will get to see a brand new map as well. This is the Hardhat map from Modern Warfare 3 which made an appearance way back in 2011. Additionally, a new scorestreak called Chopper Gunner will also make it into CoD Mobile Season 2. This new scorestreak basically allows players to control a chopper with machine guns on either sides. It will allow players to rain hellfire on their enemies from above.
