  • Boat has launched its new smartwatch Boat IRIS in the Indian market. It comes with Boat’s exclusive seven day Battery Life. Recently, Boat has gained a lot of attraction in the smartwatches segment after taking the earware segment by storm.

    Boat Iris: Specifications

    Boat IRIS comes with a 1.39-inch round AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution. The display has 462ppi pixel density and promises clear and sharp details like its previous watches. Moreover, it also supports multiple cloud-based watch faces that you can change using the companion app, Boat Hub.

    It also offers notifications for events, texts, calls, emails and social media, as well as sedentary alerts, and alarms. The smartwatch comes with 24×7 Heart Rate and SpO2 monitoring. There are 8 built-in Active Sports Modes that includes walking, running, cycling, skipping, badminton, basketball, football and swimming. It has IP68 ratings for water resistance and promises up to seven days of battery life.

    The Boat IRIS has been launched in Active Black, Flaming Red and Navy-Blue options in silicone, or leather finish options are priced at Rs. 4499 and is available from Boat Website. Boat also gives a one-year standard warranty with the device.

    Boat is planning to raise about Rs. 3,000-3,500 crore ($400-500 million) through a proposed IPO. The company is likely to be valued in the range of Rs. 11,000 crore ($1.5 billion). Details of the quantum of primary and secondary share sales are not yet known.
