What does this BlackBerry Pre-Commitment Program Offer?
This pre-commitment program will allow the company to engage with customers looking to buy new BlackBerry 5G smartphones. Those enrolled will receive updates on the upcoming products and features prior to the rest of the public. Moreover, the company now calls out for individuals to join the new program. They will also be asking these individuals for inputs on these developments. In addition, it plans to shape up or alter its product features and functionality as per the feedback received once these are tested by this user group.
To recall, BlackBerry KEY2 LE was the latest smartphone from the company and it launched in 2018. It launched with the signature physical keyboard and touchscreen design it is famous for. However, after that, there has been no BlackBerry launches even after the takeover. At the time, the company said it will release the phone in the first half of 2021. Now, it looks like the second half of 2021 is seeing new developments for the phone.

The new pre-commitment program will also act as early bird access to this user group. Those enrolled will be able to pre-order the upcoming BlackBerry device and be “one of the first” to receive the device at launch. A simple form is to be filled out in order to be a part of this program. The form asks for the estimated quantity of devices that users anticipate procuring once available. It also asks for their preferred network operator as and when they use the devices.
