Earlier last year, Xiaomi’s gaming phone company launched its latest offering Black Shark. But the company is now working on its successor – Black Shark 5. According to a previous leak, the upcoming Black Shark phone will launch with Qualcomm’s latest SoC. Moreover, it may carry some specs from the Black Shark 4S Pro. In a recent leak, the specifications of the Shark 5 have now surfaced. Let us look at them below:

Black Shark 5 Specifications Tipped

Ahead of the launch, the specs and key details of the upcoming flagship gaming phone have leaked. Just recently, a Chinese tipster has shared some key specifications of the Black Shark 5 ahead of the official announcement. The device has recently received China’s MIIT certification with model number KTUS-A0.

From what we know so far, the lineup is likely to include the Black Shark5 (codenamed Katyusha) and Black Shark 5 Pro (codenamed Patriot). But the tipster reveals that this new smartphone will be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC. It will pack a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The device will also be packing a 4,600mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. It will boot Android 12 based JOYUI out of the box.

Previously, Digital Chat Station stated that the upcoming flagship will have the model number KTUS-A0. Black Shark 5 will come with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. The SoC’s prime core CPU gets a boost to 2.995GHz, compared to 2.84GHz on the SD888 SoC. It will also get a 20 per cent improvement in AI performance over the SD888 SoC. Meanwhile, other details of the upcoming Black Shark phone are not out yet. We can only speculate until something more solid materializes hinting us at a direction.
