Krafton, the popular Battle Royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) publisher, has launched a new semi-professional gaming event in India. The competition splits into two phases, with the BGMI Open Challenge being the first. Competitors will compete in the BGMI Pro Series after this tier. Registrations for the competition will open on March 14, with a total prize fund of Rs 75 lakh.

How Does the BGMI Open Challenge Work?
The BGMI Open Challenge was Krafton’s BGMI India Series tournament in 2021. To begin, registration will begin on March 14 and will run until March 27. A total of 512 teams will be there for the first round of the BGMI Open Challenge. Also, after rounds of in-game qualifications will play among all those who register for this tournament.
256 teams, or the direct winners of the previous round, will compete in the second round. Announcement of the top 64 teams in the Open Challenge after this round, held in a round-robin format. The following round, or round three, of the Open Challenge will be the final round, in which the contending teams will compete for a spot in the final 32.

Krafton will kick off the BGMI Pro Series event at this point. The 32 champions of the BGMI Challenge will compete against 32 “pro” teams invited to the competition by Krafton in this round, played in a round-robin format.
According to Krafton, the final 16 victors of this round will compete in the grand final, where the winning team would collect “at least” Rs 75 lakh.
According to the competition and the Rs 75 lakh first prize, various smaller prizes will be distributed throughout the tournament. The BGMI events are one of Krafton’s largest official esports competitions in India to date, bringing together both aspiring and established teams and players on the same platform.
