Battlefield 2042 May Release in 2022 Now: Report

Electronic Arts, aka, EA, has been gearing up to launch their latest title, Battlefield 2042. The game is scheduled for official release on October 22, 2021. EA and DICE shook hands to make the game a success together and ever since, fans of the iconic franchise have been looking forward to the official release of the game. Battlefield 2042 is hands down one of the most anticipated games of 2021. When the trailer and gameplay trailer of the game were released via their official YouTube handle, it took the gaming community by storm.

Now, the upcoming Battlefield 2042 will not be your run-of-the-mill Battle Royale shooter. The game will definitely have a hazard zone like all BR-based shooters. However, here is the catch. You will also be required to collect intel and survive while at the same time trying to defeat other teams and AI guards. It is more of a war-like chaotic take on the genre of BR, much like Warzone, but way futuristic.

However, according to a recent leak that has surfaced online, Battlefield 2042 has probably been delayed. Multiple leaksters took to Twitter to suggest that the game will most likely release on 2022. This is very likely as initially, the game was supposed to go out on an Open Beta. However, that has not happened and the official release is little over a month away. So, it is very likely to expect a slight to a major delay in the official release of the game.

Battlefield 2042: What More?

Popular gamer, Jeff Grubb, took to his official Twitter handle to reveal that this is the “Delay Season”. He added that we will be getting to hear more delays this week. He is most likely referring to anticipated titles like Dying Light 2. Further, he stated that he was referring to a “singular delay”. Now, this could be the Battlefield 2042, as the official release for the game is almost here.

According to some leaksters, the game’s official release date has been pushed to 2022. However, as per other leaksters, Battlefield 2042 has just been delayed and not necessarily to 2022. Electronic Arts and DICE have not officially revealed anything on this front, so nothing can be confirmed as of now. However, we can expect to hear of a delay soon as the game has not even gone up for Open Beta yet, which is definitely a sign.
