Asus ZenFone 8 series is gearing up for a launch globally on May 12th. In the latest development, specifications and renders have leaked for Asus Zenfone 8 Flip and Zenfone8. However, there are leaks of the series surfacing online for quite some time now. But this new leak confirms the company is indeed retaining the flip camera design for one of the models. Additionally, we also get our first clear look at the ZenFone8 – which is the regular model in the series.

ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip and ZenFone 8 Renders Leaks
According to tipster Ishan Agarwal with 91mobiles, it is expecting to keep its motorized swivel camera mechanism alive on ZenFone 8 Flip. The previous flip phones from the brand had the same design. Additionally, a set of cameras are in a mechanical module. It primarily works as a rear camera. This mechanical module flips and rear camera setup can be used for video calling and capture selfies.
Moreover, the flip camera mechanism also allows the OEM to pack an edge-to-edge display with no hole-punch cutout or notch. The report suggests that the Asus ZenFone 8 Flip will come in two color options and a Blue colored power button.

The ZenFone 8, on the other hand, offers a more traditional look compared to Asus ZenFone 8 Flip. It features a corner hole-punch camera and a rectangular rear camera module. Moreover, the ZenFone 8 also comes in two color options and a colored power button. This model will offer a compact size due to a smaller screen.
Zenfone 8 Series Expected Specs
In terms of specs, Asus Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Pro are rumored to power on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. Moreover, one of the Zenfone 8 phones can also feature a full HD screen but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate.
As far as the actual ASUS ZenFone 8/8 Pro specifications go, there is very little information about that. We can expect it to pack a 6.67-inch (or larger) AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The company could even throw in a MEMC chip similar to the one found on the ROG Phone 5. In addition, a 64MP camera module with a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens.

Whereas, Asus ZenFone 8 Flip can feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone claims to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
