Apple’s Upcoming Event: What To Expect & What Not

Apple has confirmed its upcoming event for 2023. Set to take place on Monday, October 30, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (5:30 AM IST). Unlike traditional in-person events, this one will be pre-recorded and online-only, with no physical attendance permitted.

The spotlight of this event will be on Apple’s Mac lineup. Anticipation is running high as Apple is to unveil updates to several Mac models. Apple’s official invitation hints at the Mac focus, featuring a logo that seamlessly transforms from the Apple logo to the Mac Finder icon.

Apple Upcoming Mac Event

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who accurately predicted the launch of new Macs at the Scary Fast event, Apple may introduce fresh iterations of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. These laptops are likely to feature the new M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, which are set to bring a significant boost in performance. However, no major cosmetic changes are anticipated for these models. So they will retain the same design and colors as their predecessors.

Alongside the MacBook Pro updates, the 24-inch iMac is also expected to receive a refresh, featuring the M3 chip. This refresh is primarily centered on enhancing gaming performance and overall computing power. Like the MacBook Pro models, the design and colors are expected to remain unchanged.

Apple is set to unveil updated versions of its Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad for Mac. Notably, these accessories will feature USB-C ports for charging, replacing the traditional Lightning ports. While this change streamlines the charging process, it remains uncertain whether there will be any significant design alterations beyond this transition.

What’s Not Expected

While there is excitement surrounding these Mac updates, it’s important to note that no new 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models are expected at this event.
