More Details About Discontinuing Watch Series 3
  • Apple Watch Series 3 has been on the market for five years. However, it appears that the smartwatch may discontinue in 2022. Apple Series 3 watches may phase-out in Q3 2022, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple’s third-generation wearable, according to Kuo, is too old to run the current version of WatchOS. The device’s “processing power can’t fulfill the standards of the latest watchOS,” according to Kuo.

The report also claims that watchOS 9, the latest edition of the operating system, will unveil at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) later this year. At the same event, Apple is likely to release information on future versions of iOS, macOS, and TVOS.

    Watch Series 3

The Apple Series 3 watches were first unveiled in 2017 and have already been on the market for five years, which is fairly remarkable for any wearable gadget. However, since receiving the WatchOS 7 upgrade, the device is experiencing difficulties such as unexpected reboots or freezes, storage troubles, and battery depletion. Due to little storage, consumers are having trouble upgrading this series of watches to the newest version of WatchOS, and they need to frequently restart the Watch to begin the upgrade. It’s amazing that it’s still going strong despite the arrival of the Apple Watch SE.

The S3 chip in this series of watches is inadequate when compared to the current S5 chip in the Apple Watch SE and the S7 chip in the Apple Watch Series 7. In terms of design, the Series 3 also looks to be outdated. Unlike the current Apple Watch models, it has a hefty construction with big bezels and angular display edges.
Due to the withdrawal of these watches, the Series 4 watches will be the oldest model in the market.
