Apple may be aiming to release a new version of its 35W wall adapter. This information is based on a rumoured assistance document that was temporarily posted on the Apple website. This new 35W power converter has two USB Type-C charging connections, a first for the Cupertino-based company. With a 35W energy rating, people may use it to charge many iPhones or equipment at the same time. Although the company did not confirm the existence of this dual-port charger, it is likely to arrive this year.

Apple was quick to remove the supposed support document, which stated the availability of a 35W power adaptor with twin USB Type-C connections, according to 9to5Mac. The charger may offer 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/2.33A, and 20V/1.75A charging modes through USB Power Delivery. According to reports, there is no clear indication in the alleged document whether Apple intends to manufacture the charger or discard it completely. This twin USB Type-C port power converter may release alongside a new version of the MagSafe Duo from Apple. According to the reported support document, if the adapter came into existence, Apple will not include a USB Type-C cable with it.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, for example, speculates that this may be the new AC adaptor he mentioned before. It may enter commercial production in 2022, with a delivery of up to 2-3 million units. For a small and lightweight construction, this AC adapter uses gallium nitride (GaN) technology. The company previously took the GaN technology in use for the 140W charger that came with the MacBook Pro 2021. Third-party manufacturers like Belkin and Anker have exploited it to provide multi-port choices with their charging adapters.
