Apex Legends Mobile is finally coming to Android devices in India and the Philippines. This is finally happening after a year and a half after announcing that it coming to mobiles. However, this game is already very popular on gaming consoles and PCs. It is finally arriving for Android devices in the form of limited tests. Although, it will be limiting to certain geographic regions as surfaced by 9to5Google.

In a blog post on Tuesday, Game Director Chad Grenier announced that the first ‘regional beta’ test for Apex Legends Mobile would land “later this month” for users in India and the Philippines. They are terming the mobile port a “new version” of the game. Grenier says the game will remain true to the original, adding that the mobile version design with touchscreens in mind. Moreover, the controls are streamline and optimized by the company. However, the blog post makes no mention of whether the game will also feature controller support.

Now, with a new trailer of the PC/console version of the game, it is teasing the game will launch in select markets. Apex Legends Mobile beta will enroll only a few thousand players initially. Players in India and the Philippines will be the first ones to get a taste of the beta version. But it will be expanded to more countries later on.

On the other hand, the iOS support for Apex Legends Mobile will be coming later, but there’s no timeline given as of now. However, they also mention it doesn’t allow cross-play as it’s made for smaller screens. It means that a PC/console player and a mobile player can’t join the same match.
