Google has released the Developer Preview 1 (DP1) for Android 15, giving us a sneak peek of what to expect from the upcoming operating system. Android 15 Brings Privacy Sandbox And More Granular Camera Controls
The Android 15 Developer Preview 1 offers internal changes, most catering to developers. The new operating system supports partial screen sharing, allowing users to share a part of a screen or an app instead of showcasing their entire screen.

Furthermore, the Android 15 adds an upgraded Privacy Sandbox feature, which groups anonymous user data instead of individual ones to show targeted ads. There is also a new File Integrity check for protection against malware and unauthorised file modifications.
The new Android 15 update will also allow users to control the intensity of their flashlight in both capture and torch modes. Moreover, there is also the option to boost the brightness of the camera preview to help users take better shots in low light.

In addition, Android 15 features support Virtual MIDI 2.0 devices so that you can connect Music Composition devices via USB. There is also better integration of Google’s Health Connect in Android 15 with support for new data types such as fitness, nutrition and more.

The Android 15 Developer Preview 1 is available only for Google Pixel phones and tablets. It can be downloaded on the following devices:

To install the Android 15 update and experience its features, you will need to manually download it from a website and flash it via the Android Flash Tool. Do keep in mind this is a Developer Preview 1, so there will be plenty of bugs and non-working features.

When Will The Stable Version Arrive?
