Moreover, the report states that the e-commerce giant will develop Alexa based smartwatches for children. Also, the smartwatches will reportedly launch in collaboration with Disney.

    Currently, Amazon makes a fitness band for adults which is called the Halo. The e-commerce giant reportedly came up with the idea of kids wearables by witnessing Apple roll out the family setup feature for their Apple Watch series. Besides, the e-commerce giant already has several products tailored-made for kids. These products include the Amazon Echo Show 5 Kids, Echo Dot Kids Edition and the Fire Tablet Kids Edition. This will definitely make it things easier for the company as they won’t be having much trouble entering the kids wearables segment.

    Moreover, the very concept of smart wearables for children is something of a new trend. It is slowly becoming more and more popular. This is definitely the right time for the company to get into this segment before it becomes saturated.

    The Amazon kids wearable will reportedly launch as the Magic Band. Moreover, the smart band is going to reportedly launch later this year. However, nothing has been revealed on the specifications front of the kids wearable. Also, it is very much possible that this kids wearable is somewhat related to the Magic wristband that Disney offers its guests at its accommodations and parks.

    According to the report by Bloomberg, the upcoming smart wearable for kids is codenamed Seeker. Additionally, the wearable is targeted to primarily kids in between 4 years to 12 years of age. Moreover, the wearable can either be worn on the wrist or used as a keychain or a clip.

    When it comes to the price of the device, Amazon will reportedly set the price at $99. The device will come with in-built Alexa and GPS.
